We have been made aware that some people are setting up businesses in the UK to sell wedding dresses,bridesmaid dresses and prom dresses from home. If these businesses do not have planning permission then they are operating illegally and will be closed down by their local council.

            If you have ordered a dress from them and they are closed down you will not receive the dress and you are unlikely to get your money back.

You should also bear in mind that you have no protection under any consumer protection laws and these businesses do not have valid Public Liability Insurance so if you or a member of your party is injured while on the premises you will not receive any form of compensation.

     You should also be aware that these premises are unlikely to comply with Fire Regulations or been inspected by the Fire Authorities.

          Please bear the above in mind and only deal with reputable companies in your area (of which I am sure there are many.)
